Overview and Key Features
This replacement filter set features a comprehensive 5-stage filtration process to maintain and enhance your under-sink reverse osmosis system’s performance. Compatible with the APEC 50 GPD Essence system and most standard under-counter RO systems, it offers versatile use. The set includes a 5-micron sediment filter, two 10-micron carbon block filters, a 50 GPD thin-film composite RO membrane, and a coconut shell carbon refining filter. Together, they effectively remove a wide range of contaminants, including chlorine, arsenic, lead, fluoride, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and unpleasant tastes or odors. NSF certification further guarantees water safety and enhanced quality.
Performance and Filtration Quality
This filter set effectively delivers clean and safe drinking water by addressing a wide range of impurities. The sediment filter removes dirt, particles, and rust, which protects the membrane and extends the system’s lifespan. Subsequent carbon block filters eliminate chlorine, chemical tastes, odors, and synthetic VOC contaminants, greatly enhancing water clarity and flavor. Its thin-film composite membrane is designed to remove heavy metals—including arsenic, lead, chromium, and radium—along with other harmful pollutants like fluoride and PFAS. The final coconut shell carbon filter polishes the water by removing any lingering tastes or odors from the storage tank. With key components built to last between 2 to 4 years and the entire filter set rated for over 6 months of use, this system ensures durable, dependable performance and excellent value.
Installation and Compatibility
Installing this filter set is straightforward and designed to be easy for homeowners to replace without professional help. The package dimensions of 10”D x 12”W x 6”H and the lightweight 3.5-pound design simplify handling during replacement.
